Day 1: Hanoi arrival
Today you’ll land in Hanoi. Warmly welcome by our tour guide & driver at airport & then transfer to hotel for check in. Stay overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi full day city tour (B, L)
Today we enjoy a full day city tour of this charming capital city including the mausoleum of the nation's founder Ho Chi Minh (close on Monday & Friday), the Presidential Palace, the Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda & the Temple of Literature.
After lunch at local restaurant, visit the impressive Museum of Ethnology, the beautiful West Lake, the Tran Vu Pagoda, the peaceful lake of the Restored Sword and the Ngoc Son temple. Take one hour cyclo ride through the bustling old quarter streets of Hanoi before enjoying a fantastic traditional water puppet show (unique to Vietnam).

Day 3: Hanoi - Halong Bay (B, L, D)
After breakfast at hotel, depart for one of the most magnificent scenic environments in the world, Halong Bay. The drive takes about 3.5 hours. Halong covers 577 square miles, this vast bay is filled with more than 3,000 limestone “peaks” or karsts that jut from the deep blue water as far as the eye can see. We’ll spend a day and a half, including an overnight with dinner and breakfast onboard, exploring this overwhelming seascape from the decks of a traditional Vietnamese boat. Comfortable and intimate, your boat features hand-crafted wooden interiors including a dining room and pleasant air-conditioned cabins with private baths. Since we’re overnight on the water, we’ll be able to explore Ha Long Bay’s most beautiful spots with time to swim and even visit some of the largest rock formations and caves. This promises to be one of your most memorable travel experiences in Asia. Stay overnight on boat.
Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Hue (B, L)
Rising to the sound of lapping bay waters, we have time for an early morning dip followed by breakfast. Sitting on the upper deck, you can relax while taking in the breath-taking beauty of the rocky islands rising from the emerald water of the bay.
After breakfast, explore Sung Sot cave, swim and relax. Cruises back to the jetty while brunch is served while you are cruising through the bay, along the way seeing more of the fascinating formations. Cruise check-out. Turn back to Hanoi for the evening flight to Hue. On arrival in Hue, pick up & transfer to hotel for check in. Overnight in Hue.
Day 5: Hue full day city tour (B, L)
A morning boat trip on the romantic Perfume River visiting Hue’s oldest and most revered site, Thien Mu Pagoda & the mausoleum of Emperor Minh Mang.
Afternooon visit the Imperial Citadel, the Purple Forbidden City, the elaborate mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc and the Dong Ba market. Overnight in Hue.
Day 6: Hue - Da Nang - Hoi An (B, L)
Morning drive to Hoi An town, a recognized World Heritage Site. Stop in Da Nang to visit the famous My Khe Beach and Cham Museum which contains the finest collection of Cham sculpture in the world. Visit this ancient town: the 200 year-old Tan Ky house, Phuc Kien Pagoda, the Assembly Hall, the former merchants’ houses, the 400 year-old Japanese Covered Bridge and the colourful riverside market.
Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 7: Hoi An – Da Nang - Ho Chi Minh City (B)
Free at leisure until transfer to the airport for the flight to Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival, pick up & transfer to hotel for check in. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 8: Ho Chi Minh City - Cu Chi Tunnels (B, L)
After breakfast, at 8 am, we will visit Cu Chi tunnels - an immense network of connecting underground tunnels during American War. Back to the city for lunch.
After lunch we will visit Notre Dame Cathedral, in the heart of Saigon's government quarter, is of neo- Romanesque architecture with two high square tower and iron spires. The Central Post Office is French-style and City Hall, known as "Hotel de Ville," is typical of the French architecture that would be seen in any village in France. Visit the War Remnants Museum, featuring collections of weapons and photographs from the two Indochina wars. Our last stop is Ben Thanh market, the biggest whole sales market in Saigon. Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 9: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta - Cai Be Floating Market (B, L)
7:30 am: Depart for Cai Be, stopping to take photos in Tan An town overlooking the picturesque flat rice fields. On arrival in Cai Be, take a motor boat to visit the Cai Be floating market and watch the locals trading fruit and many other commodities on board their vessels. Then wander into the small villages to visit the orchard and fruit plantation. Keep cruising to Vinh Long through a series of small canals to experience the charms of the Upper Mekong Delta. Visit a small family business to see how coconut candy and crispy rice popcorn are made. Arrive in Binh Hoa Phuoc village, the green pearl of Vinh Long town, where you can immerse yourself in nature. Enjoy a lunch of fresh river food served in the heart of the garden accompanied by traditional southern Vietnamese folk music. Take a delightful walk through the bonsai garden. Meet the driver again in Vinh Long. Return to Ho Chi Minh City. Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City – Phnom Penh (B, L)
Free at leisure until transfer to the airport for the flight to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival in Phnom Penh International Airport, meet and greeted by our friendly English Speaking tour guide, transfer to your hotel for luggage drop off at hotel lobby. Afterward, experience Cambodia Cyclo tours. On your first day in charming Phnom Penh you will be treated to a fun cyclo tour, a traditional mode of transport. Your first stop will be the terracotta red National Museum which offers a charming setting for a comprehensive collection of Khmer artifacts. After this you will visit the nearby Royal Palace, on the banks of the mighty Mekong river. Inside the Palace walls you will be treated to the Throne Hall, the Chan Chaya Pavilion, and the King's residential quarters. You will then move onto the neighboring Silver Pagoda, so named as it is claimed its floor is made up of over 4,000 silver tiles! Your cyclo driver will then take you to a local restaurant for lunch. Afterwards it is back in the cyclos as you are pedalled to explore the ochre-coloured, impressive, art-deco Central Market, an iconic Phnom Penh landmark and a fascinating place to wander around, be careful not to get lost! When you are all 'haggled' out your cyclo driver will take you to the nearby French Quarter and Wat Phnom, the inconspicuous hill after which the city is named. Today it is topped by a small pagoda and provides a shady area to wander around. Your cyclo driver will then return you to your hotel where you are free for the rest of the evening.
Day 11: Phnom Penh's Dark Past (B, L)
Breakfast at hotel.
This morning you will learn about the dark side of Cambodia - its more recent turbulent and harrowing history. Initially you visit the Toul Sleng Genocide Museum (also known as S21), ironically a former school, located in a quiet Phnom Penh suburb, this was the infamous Khmer Rouge prison / torture centre. Once you have gained an initial insight of the brutality of the Khmer Rouge regime you will be driven 15km from Phnom Penh to visit the 'Killing Fields'. This is where Toul Sleng prisoners were forcibly marched and then executed; it is now a memorial site located in a beautiful tranquil setting. You will return to Phnom Penh for lunch at a local restaurant,
Afternoon, Shopping at Russian Market (Psar Tuol Thom Pong), a lively outdoor market, where you can find antiquities, silver and gold jewelry, gems, silk, karmas, tone and wood caring, as well as T-Shirt, CDs and other nice souvenirs, move on to visit Central Market.
Overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 12: Phnom Penh – Siem Reap (B, L)
This morning you fly to Siem Reap where initially you will explore the Small Circuit. This tour includes the huge pyramid of Takeo, and the jungle-clad Ta Prohm, made famous by the Hollywood blockbuster 'Tomb Raider'. You continue to visit Sras Srang, known as the King's bathing pond, and Banteay Kdei, before exploring Prasat Kravan, an elegant brick temple.
After lunch, you explore the impressive Royal City of Angkor Thom, where you will find the Bayon, a temple famed for its many gigantic carved faces smiling beguilingly down at you. You will also visit other important sites in this immense walled city, including the pyramid of Baphuon, Phimeanakas, and the royal viewing stands known as the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King. If you have the time your guide will take you to an excellent spot for watching a mesmerizing Angkor Wat sunset. The evening is free at your leisure.
Day 13: Angkor Wat – Banteay Srey (B, L)
Sunrise at Angkor Wat, you may choose to rise early today to catch the sun rising from behind Angkor Wat's five carved towers - after being awed you return to your hotel for breakfast. After breakfast it is time to further discover the magnificent Angkor Wat, the world's largest religious building.
Afternoon, you head 30km north to visit the captivating and beautiful temple of Banteay Srei or 'Fortress of the Women'. The journey allows you to experience the beautiful Cambodian countryside as you pass through small typical villages, on-route you will visit Banteay Samre. Banteay Srei is an elaborately decorated temple, embellished with floral motifs and scenes from the Ramayana, all carved from pink sandstone. It is said the carvings must have been done by women as the detail is too fine for the hands of a man.
Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 14: Siem Reap - Yangon (B, L)
Breakfast at hotel,
After lunch you take a short 15km drive to Phnom Krom the large hill that looms closer, and enjoy a relaxing cruise on the on the Tonle Sap lake, the largest lake in South East Asia. You will see the traditional floating village of Chong Kneas and witness the residents going about their daily life - it is quite a sight seeing a whole bamboo village complete with homes, gas stations, schools, hair dressers, and even karaoke bars floating on a lake. On the way back to Siem Reap you will call in at Artisans d'Angkor, an interesting boutique workshop where you can observe young Cambodians learning traditional Khmer handicraft techniques, such as stone & wood carving, and lacquering & gilding - a great opportunity for last minute quality souvenirs.
Then transfer to airport for the flight to Yangon. On arrival at Yangon international airport, welcome by our tour guide. Transfer to the hotel for check in. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.
Day 15: Yangon - Mandalay – Ava - Amarapura - Sagaing - Mandalay (B, L)
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to the airport for flight to Mandalay, the commercial centre and cultural tourism site, was established in 1857 by King Mindon, Arrive at Tada Oo International airport and direct sightseeing to the ancient city of Amarapura. Visit to Mahagundayone Monastery to study the daily life of the monks observing Buddha scriptures, U Bein Wooden Bridge (1.2km long) across Taung Tha Man Lake. And then drive to Sagaing and visit Kaung Mu Daw Pagoda which is the copy of Mahaceti Pagoda in Siri Lanka and Sagaing Hill the center of Meditation. Then drive to Mandalay and check in at the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 16: Mandalay - Mingun - Mandalay (B, L)
After early breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the jetty to take a boat trip to Mingun. Visit Mingun Unfinished Pagoda, Mingun Bell, one of the world largest hanging bronze bells and Myatheindan Pagoda. After sightseeing in Mingun, sail back to Mandalay. Afternoon visit Mahamuni Buddha Image, Zegyo Market and some of Mandalay’s cottage industries, such as weaving and tapestry making, Burmese candy making, Bamboo fan making near Eindaw Yar Pagoda, Atumahsi Monastery and Shwenandaw Monastery (Golden Palace Monastery), Kuthodaw (Maha Lawkamarazein Pagoda) which is famous as the world largest book of many stone slabs on which is inscribed the whole Buddhist Literature.. Enjoy the panoramic view of the city from Mandalay Hill. Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.
Day 17: Mandalay - Bagan (B, L)
After having breakfast at hotel, morning flight to Bagan situated in Central Myanmar, on the East bank of the mighty Ayeyarwaddy River. Arrive at Nyaung U Airport and transfer to hotel for check in. Sightseeing start to colorful Nyaung Oo Market, and Shwezigon Pagoda, built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century as a religious shrine, then Ananda Temple, King Kyansittha’s masterpiece and the crowning achievement of the early style temple of architecture, then Thatbyinnyu Temple, the highest building on the Bagan plain, after that visit to Htilominlo Temple , noted for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sandstone decorations. In the afternoon observe the process of traditional lacquer ware, one of Myanmar’s best known handicrafts and a specialty of Bagan. Then visit Manuha Temple, Myingabar Gubyautgyi Temple , an early period Pyu-style temple of Hindu influence with some of the oldest mutual paintings in Bagan and Dhamanyangyi Temple noted for its remarkable brickwork. Lastly enjoy the sunset over the Ayeyarwaddy River from Buphaya or Shwesandaw Pagoda. Overnight at hotel in Bagan.
Day 18: Bagan - Popa - Salay (B, L)
After breakfast at hotel, begin with a drive south, parallel to the Irrawaddy River, en route to Salay. After one hour we'll make a stop in Chauk which has a colorful morning market to explore. Continue to Salay (30 minutes) an important center of Buddhism in Myanmar with many active monasteries. Salay, while visiting Salay you will learn more about monastic life, several sites including Salay is Yoke Sone Kyaung monastery, one of the oldest wooden halls in the area. Mount Popa has played an important role in Myanmar culture, religion and history since earliest times. The view over the Myingyan Plain from the top of the volcanic peak is impressive (and the climb is optional!). Return back to Bagan and overnight in Bagan.
Day 19: Bagan - Heho - Inle (B, L)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport to leave for Heho. Arrive at Heho Airport and drive to Nyaung Shwe and transfer to hotel by boat to Inle Lake. Being located at the 900 meters above sea level, Inle Lake is the second largest natural lake in Myanmar with hazy blue mountains as backdrop. Visit Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda, the most famous pagoda of the Shan State. Ywa-Ma village, gold and silver smiths’ workshop. After lunch, visit Jumping Cat Monastery and floating gardens, local methods of fishing, village life and the famous leg rowers. In the evening, enjoy the sunset while visiting the Inle Lake by boat and overnight.
Day 20: Indein (B, L)
After breakfast , start tour excursion on Inle lake , visit to Indein Pagoda in ruins covered by trees and bushes wgich are supposes to be told about 500 years, floating gardens, floating villages, In Paw Khan village to observe the silk weaving, jumping cats monastery, etc. Overnight at hotel in Inle Lake.
Day 21: Inle – Heho - Yangon (B, L)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport and flight back to Yangon. On the way to the hotel, visit Kabar Aye (the World Peace pagoda) and Maha Pasana (the great cave for Buddhist synod) and check in at the hotel. After lunch, shopping at Bogyoke Market (Scott’s Market) of hundreds of shops where you can find local products such as Gems & Jewelry , slippers, cloth, and so on. Evening stroll along the China Town and study the ways of living of Yangon citizens (observe the tradition and modern costume). Overnight at hotel in Yangon.
Day 22: Yangon departure (B)
Free at leisure until transfer to the airport for the departure flight.
